Sycamore goes on the road to play the White House Blue Devils in Week Six.
“BDP” (“Blue Devil Pride”) will be constantly yelled by White House players, coaches and fans as a tradition of winning has fueled the White House football program for years and their coach Jeff Porter who has been at the helm for almost 30 years.
The Blue Devils handed Sycamore a big loss last year, prevailing 42-6. For White House it was their fifth consecutive win, on their way to 11 straight wins. They eventually fell in the 4A playoffs to Jackson Southside. They finished 11-1 overall, and 6-0 in Region 5-4A.
The timing of their meeting with White House is tough for Sycamore, who will host Region 6-3A champion Fairview the following week.
