Jireh Arning, a senior forward at West Creek High School, has been named the Boom Sports Media Boys Soccer Player of the Year after a vote of the fans and an expert panel of coaches and media.

Arning, a 2019 All-District selection, recorded 10 career assists, which is fourth all-time in program history. He holds the single-season goal record with 24 goals in the 2019 season, and was on track to surpass the career mark for West Creek. He had a hat trick in his only regular season game this year.

“Jireh has an immense wealth of knowledge about the game,” his coach Will Nations said. “He lives and breathes soccer. He’s a real special talent. As a captain, he wanted the best from himself and his teammates. I know he has a future playing career past the high school ranks. I’m glad we crossed paths and wish him the best in his future endeavors on and off the soccer field.”
