This week in the annual Spring Fling, the TSSAA Spring Sports Championships, in and around Murfreesboro. Based on the schedules of the teams and individuals we plan to cover, here’s where you should find Boom Sports Media TN:
Tuesday, May 21—
- 2:00 PM BOOM BONUS: Class AA Boys Soccer
Beech (11-9-2) vs Dyersburg (14-2-3), Siegel Soccer Complex (Field #4) We are interested in this game for some personal reasons. Beech’s coach John Ferguson is a FOB (Friend of Boom) and has already led the Beech girls team to a state championship this year in his first year as a high school coach. Very interesting story!
- 4:00 PM–Division II, Class A Baseball
Clarksville Academy (26-13) vs Goodpasture (27-13), Lavergne High School. It’s the Cougars vs. the Cougars, part III. They played each other twice in the regular season, and split the series, one win each. This is a semi-final game, in a double elimination tournament, so CA will play again on Wednesday, win or lose.
- 7:00 PM–Division I, Class AAA Boys Soccer
Rossview (16-4-2) vs Brentwood (17-0-1), Siegel Soccer Complex (Field #2). If this matchup sounds familiar, it should be. These teams met in the first round last year, and we’re looking for a different result. Boys Soccer is a single elimination tournament; win and advance to play on Wednesday. Lose and go home.
