Football Players of the Week, for game performances through August 30 (Voting Ends Noon, Wednesday, September 4)
Laqualin Nickleson, Northwest High School—The senior running back had 26 carries for 167 yards (6.4 per carry) and had two rushing touchdowns in the Vikings’ win over Greenbrier.
Gabe Siebert, Rossview High School—The senior quarterback was 14-of-20 passing for 216 yards, and two touchdowns. He added 48 yards on the ground and another touchdown in the Hawks’ win over Lavergne.
Miller Barnett, Clarksville Academy—The sophomore quarterback was 12-of-18 passing for 220 yards and a touchdown, and had 24 rushing yards in the Cougars’ win over Grace Christian.
Noah Aldrich. Montgomery Central—The senior running back and linebacker had nine tackles and a fumble recovery, then ran the ball for 10 carries and 68 yards. He only played offense in the second half.
Matthew Pack, Harpeth High School—The senior linebacker and running back made 16 total tackles and rushed six times for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Indians loss to Hickman County.
