Finalist for this week’s Player of the Week:
Alexis Parkes, West Creek High School (Overall record: 2-7) – The junior goalkeeper had 17 saves in loss to Clarksville, “ including 5 or 6 of the best saves you’ll see at the high school level. She’s only been playing soccer for a month and a half, and she gets so much better every single day,” her coach Drew Smith said.
Emma Walker, Rossview High School (Overall record: 4-4-1 ) – the senior forward had four goals in the Lady Hawks’ two matches this week. “She is a very physically fit player who gives 110% each time she steps foot on the field and is a major contributor to our offensive game,” her coach Connie Castleman said.
Emily Fisher, Sycamore High School (Overall record: 6-1-1) – The senior midfielder/forward had eight goals and five assists this week. “She is probably our most reliable player. She is very disruptive in the middle of the field, and creates consistent scoring opportunities for our team. She is never selfish, and she is able to keep her head in tough game situations,” her coach Sheila Gaertner said.
Carsen Moseley, Cheatham County Central High School (Overall record: 5-0-2) – The senior midfield/forward/defender (yes, she’s all over the field) had one goal in the two games the Lady Cubs played this week. “She’s a great defensive player…she stopped many attacks from happening and created many offensive opportunities out of those stops,” Her coach Susie Kephart said.
