Here are your five finalists for this week!
Arya Rogers, Clarksville High School (Overall record: 16-1) – The junior outside hitter had 21 kills, five aces, and 12 digs in Clarksville High’s three games this week, all wins. “She is still developing into an all-around player this year. The first thing you see when you watch Arya play is her athleticism in every facet of the game. She has the talent to be one of the best players in our district and area,” her coach Glen Fox said.
Hayven Knall, Harpeth High School (Overall record: 23-6) – The sophomore outside hitter had 20 kills, 16 aces, seven digs, and 52 points off serves. “Hayven has been serving extremely well this week as well as hitting. She leads the team this week in kills and points off serves. Hayven is a very smart hitter. She sees the other side of the floor as she swings and aims for their holes. She has really turned up her serving in this last half of the season,” her coach Alesia Beshears said.
Kayla Hackett, Cheatham County Central High School (Overall record: 3-12) – The junior setter/outside had six aces, 19 assists, 11 kills, and three blocks in three games this week. “Kayla is our most experienced player being her second year starting varsity. She’s our best and most consistent server and continues to grow in her leadership role,” her coach Aaron Nicholson said.
Katie Brooks, Montgomery Central High School (Overall record: 9-7) – The junior outside hitter led the team with 1 ace, 13 kills, 2 blocks, and 16 digs in two games. “She has continued to be a force at the net this season for our team,” her coach Courtney Brown said.
Dallas Harmon, Rossview High School (Overall record: 15-4) – The senior setter had 50 assists, six aces, and six digs this week in two games, both wins. Harmon has averaged over 60 sets per game. “She has been able to get her hands to almost every ball and consistently distribute the ball to our hitters. She is a huge part of our offensive success this year,” her coach Caitlin Lucas said.
